As we discussed Sunday, there is a movement called the ”Hebrew/Hebraic Roots Movement.”
Other names ascribed are “Sacred Name Movement” and “Messianic Congregationalism”.
Nothing wrong with Messianic Jews, that’s not what I’m referring to. This is something entirely different.
Here is a brief overview of what they believe:
1. They call for Christians to recognize extra-biblical Jewish books, which are supposed to give fuller understanding of the Greek New Testament. In fact some go so far as to proclaim the Hebrew Scriptures are the authentic scriptures, not the Greek text of the Bible.
2. Keeping the Law of Moses with all of the ordinances of the OT Law.
3. In some cases they reject the Trinity.
Here are a few websites that talk about them in more detail:

As the strong winds of a tornado or hurricane can pick you up and blow you away, so is the wind of doctrine taking away the people, blowing them this way and that.
A Tornado twists and spins and tears apart everything in its path and this is exactly what Satan is doing to us, tearing us apart with lies and error, pitting us against each other. We must be strong and stand together against the buffeting of the winds, in unity we can do all things, be all things in Christs name.
Our Bible is our doctrine of Christ, His words are there, and it is truth. May God be with you this day and remember to be as the Bereans and verify everything with the Bible.

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive
~Ephesians 4:14
